Camping

Bass and Buck Adventures offers 8 campsites spread out along the Grand River in Southern Geauga County. About 1 hour from Cleveland.   The river has carved a 2 mile long valley that provides a great place to hike, explore, and just relax with the family.

Big Bend

My personal favorite . Big Bend lies along a large gradual bend in the river giving you a picturesque view in both directions. Big Bend is also close to the porta-potti, and has a trail that you can drive an SUV or Suburu type car to. This site is about a half mile from the road providing extra quiet to enjoy natures sounds.   There is a rustic picnic table and benches, along with a fire ring.

Cozy Creek

Cozy Creek is a smaller campsite yet there is still room for a couple tents.  There is a rapids at the site to insure you fall asleep with the soothing sounds of a bubbling brook.  The rapids also makes a great place for kids to catch crayfish.  You can drive up to within 20 feet of the site.

This small valley's steep walls were carved by a cool spring fed stream.  This site is about 1 1/4 mile walk from the parking area.  We have a wagon to help get your gear to the site.  There is a fire ring and a picnic table.  A traditional Jeep can be driven to within 50 yds of the site.  There are two shallow river crossings.

Forge Hill

Forge Hill is located on the river just below the hill that gives it its name.  In the 1850's there was a forge located on the site of the campsite.  If you look around in the river you can find remnants of the structure.  Forge Hill is our largest campsite.  You can drive right up to the site.

Oil Dam

Oil Dam is our newest campsite, and will be ready to go this spring.  The sight is named after a flaxseed mill and dam that was just upstream from this campsite.  I found an old map that showed an dam on the river named just Oil Dam.  When i dug into it I discoved there was a flaxseed oil mill on the location.
